The Office of Sustainability is recruiting Sustainable Events Consultant for the 2019-2020 academic year!
As a volunteer with the Sustainable Events Consultant team, you will liaise with event organizers in the McGill community to ensure that they are organized in the most sustainable way possible. By utilizing both online and print resources, you will help event organizers gain access to knowledge about sustainable resources, and help ensure best practices at events.

McGill is hiring a SDG Campus Coordinator
McGill, as a member of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), is looking to appoint a SDG Campus Coordinator for the 2019-2020 academic year. The coordinator’s role will be to raise student awareness of the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), mobilise students/student clubs around the SDGs and act as a point of contact between McGill student body and the SDSN Youth.

"Minister McKenna was on campus to announce the Federal government’s support of the University’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. The government is investing up to $1.8 million to help McGill upgrade its heating equipment and distribution system, upgrades that will reduce fuel consumption, reduce emissions and make the local air cleaner."

The PGSS representative would be one of eight Working Group members, who ensure that the SPF meets its mandate to build a culture of sustainability on McGill campuses through the development and seed-funding of interdisciplinary projects.
