Which browser should I use for Minerva?
Chrome and Internet Explorer/Edge are the best browsers for navigating Minerva
Can I use a mobile device to reset my Minerva PIN?
While it is possible, it is not advisable. Wait until you can use a computer or tablet to reset your PIN.
My PIN was reset, but every time I enter a new PIN, it takes me back to the same reset PIN page
Minerva does not like the new PIN you have created, as you are likely not following the PIN reset rules. Please try again, making sure to follow the rules (exactly 6 characters, a mix of numbers and letters, no capitals and no symbols/special characters)
I have just submitted my application, how long will it take to get my Minerva PIN & McGill ID number?
A confirmation of your application, including a 9-digit McGill identification (ID) number, will be sent via e-mail between 24 to 48 hours of submitting your application. This McGill ID number will grant you access to the University's Minerva system, required for the subsequent steps of your application.
As a graduate applicant you will only gain access to the Minerva system once you have been admitted to McGill and you accept an offer of admission via the uApply system. Graduate applicants, should continue tracking their application via uApply.
I'm getting a "You're not authorized to access Minerva" error message
If you have applied to McGill in the past but never had a student record, you will have to submit a new application via the web application (not Minerva)
As a graduate applicant you will only gain access to the Minerva system once you have been admitted to McGill and you accept an offer of admission via the uApply system.
