Discover the right program for you
McGill has over 400 graduate-level programs to choose from. These programs include graduate certificates and diplomas, Masters (thesis and non-thesis), and PhDs. Be sure to browse the program list to find a program that aligns with your interests. Although renowned as a research-intensive university, McGill also offers a wide variety of professional programs (e.g., non-thesis) which are not research-based.
Research conducted at McGill is often interdisciplinary and cuts across programs and academic units (departments, schools or institutes). If you are interested in a thesis-based program (e.g., Masters with thesis or PhD), we recommend that you:
- Review the admission requirements for the program you are interested in. Certain programs require a supervisor agreement at the time of application whereas others do not.
- On the department website, search and view faculty member profiles to look for a potential supervisor who has similar research interests. As needed, consult the website of other departments for researchers in related fields.
