Land Acknowledgement
The CHRLP is based on land which long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
Through its research, clinical education, and public engagement initiatives, the CHRLP continue to foster a space for dialogue and reconciliation. In 2015, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released 94 Calls to Action. The CHRLP is responding to Call to Action 28 through its research, scholarship and education initiatives on the subject of Indigenous people and the law.

Human Rights Internships
Each year, the Centre organizes human rights internships at Indigenous-led organizations and Indigenous government departments. Internship placements vary each year.
