You have been accepted to the Faculty of Engineering, requiring the completion of a program of between 97 credits and 150 credits. Your official letter of acceptance from McGill University will reflect your total credit program requirements.

New student registration and advising sessions

All newly admitted Faculty of Engineering students are required to attend both:

  • Part 1: Using Minerva to Register for Courses
  • Part 2: Faculty Sessions

These sessions will help you prepare for course registration, understand your curriculum and academic requirements, and learn about important Faculty policies, advising resources, and transfer credit procedures.

 

Part 1: Using Minerva to register for courses

Students must attend one of the following registration sessions:

  • Utilisation de Minerva et création d’un horaire
    Thursday, May 21, 6:00 p.m.
     
  • Using Minerva to register for courses
    • Friday, May 22, 9:00 a.m.
    • Tuesday, May 26, 6:00 p.m.
    • Wednesday, May 27, 1:00 p.m.

 

Part 2: Faculty sessions

All newly admitted Faculty of Engineering students (except Global Engineering students) are required to attend the general advising session:

General advising session for newly admitted students
Thursday, June 4, 10:00 a.m.

 

Global Engineering students (U2)

Students entering the Global Engineering program (U2) must attend the following session and are not required to attend the general Faculty advising session mentioned above:

Global Engineering pre-departure info session (U2)
Wednesday, May 20, 11:30 a.m.
 

 

Additional Transfer Credit Q&A Sessions

Optional drop-in transfer credit information sessions (for non-Global Engineering students):

  • Wednesday, June 10, 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 17, 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 12, 3:00 p.m.
