2025 McGill Materials Research Day

Join FEMR, MC2, and MIAM at Faculty Club for the 2nd McGill Materials Research Day, a day-long dive into materials research in Montreal and beyond, with keynote speaker PETER FRATZL (Max Planck Institute), ISABELLE MARCOTTE (UQAM), and OUSAMMA MOUTANABBIR (Polytechnique Montréal).
Also included in the day are talks describing the resources available at the three facilities and the research being done there; technique flash talks by students and postdoctoral fellows; and lunchtime CFI discussion groups.
The main session will be followed at 4:00 pm by a poster session and cocktail hour at the nearby Thomson House.
Free and open to all Montreal researchers. Lunch provided.

The event is hosted by the Facility for Electron Microscopy Research (FEMR), the McGill Chemistry Characterization Facility (MC2), and the McGill Institute for Advanced Materials (MIAM), which houses the Nanotools Microfabrication Facility and the MIAM Characterization Facility.
