Welcome to the McGill SCS Student Services page which outlines the student services you have access to during your studies. These services are made available to you in collaboration with McGill University, external partners, and your student association, the McGill Association of Continuing Education Students (MACES). Please note that there may be costs associated with the service(s), and in particular cases you may need to opt-in to additional central McGill University Student Services if applicable.

Legal Protection Program

As of Sept. 1, 2021, the Legal Protection Program will offer unlimited access to a legal consultation service to consult a duly certified lawyer in your province of study regarding any legal question via a toll-free legal assistance helpline. It will also include further counsel should you qualify for legal representation.


Virtual Healthcare Service

Provided by Dialogue, this service will be available to eligible students as of Sept. 1, 2021. Connect virtually with nurses and physicians via a mobile or web app in Canada.



New to McGill SCS (Fall 2020) – Online Mental Health Support

Keep.meSAFE program

A confidential and secure online mental health counselling service that was introduced in fall 2020 specializes in student mental health support. This service will continue to be free to students for the 2021/2022 academic year.


MACES – Student Association

Your official student association, the McGill’s Association of Continuing Education Students.



MACES Health & Dental Plan

All students who are MACES members registered for 3 or more credits and beginning their studies in September or January are automatically covered by the collective Health & Dental Plan. Certain exceptions may apply.


Career Advising (CATS)

Gain the clarity, skills, confidence and connections you need to succeed in your career thanks to career services from Career Advising and Transition Services (CATS) at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies.


McGill Writing Centre

Refine your academic writing skills or learn to write for a specific professional audience with courses and tutorials offered by the McGill Writing Centre (MWC)


The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD)

is a member of McGill Student Services that provides support for students to facilitate and support the inclusion of diverse learners.


McGill SCS Client Services

Our teams can answer your questions, advise you on your programs and courses, and support you throughout your time at the School.


Additional (fee-based) Services Available

If you are eligible, opting in to the student services fee allows access to the same services as undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
