PhD Student Arzina Zaver Represents Graduate Students at CATE
Congrats to Arzina Zaver on recently being named a Graduate Student Representative for the Canadian Association for Teacher Education (CATE). Arzina’s role will include planning the graduate student session at the annual Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) conference.
The CSSE conference provides a meeting place for educational scholars and practitioners to gather and discuss educational issues. Arzina says, “I am not only looking forward to helping plan the graduate student session at the annual conference, but also creating avenues of communication between CATE and graduate students.”
Arzina is particularly interested in promoting dialogue around teacher education and collaboration. She recalls feeling alone in the field during her first few years as a teacher, which is why she looks forward to facilitating areas where mentorship and collaboration can take place.
Arzina is a PhD Student in Educational Studies in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education.
