ISID and IDRC are pleased to announce the GrOW Research Series!

Published: 2 May 2017

The GrOW Research Series brings together scholarly research on women’s economic empowerment and economic growth in low-income countries, and provides a conceptual and empirical basis for policy-making. It is also the official research platform for the Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) program, a multi-funder partnership between the UK's Department for International Development, the Hewlett- Flora Foundation, and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). With 14 projects in 50 countries, GrOW works with researchers to improve economic outcomes and opportunities for poor women on the themes of employment, the care economy, and women’s economic agency.

This series is housed at the Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID) at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. As part of a broader initiative by ISID and  IDRC, this series will disseminate GrOW research, including the GrOW working paper series and policy brief series, on an open access online platform. A call for papers for the inaugural issue of our working paper series will soon be sent to researchers associated with GrOW projects.
