When interest in composting was expressed by Solin Hall residents, a team of committed council members looked into getting a compost pail for every apartment in Solin.
This project is particularly pertinent because Solin Hall possesses the ability for large-scale composting: it’s one of the few McGill residences that has the full control over food preparation and resulting food scraps. Through an application to the SPF, Solin Hall was awarded the necessary funds for every apartment to have a kitchen compost pail, complete with a compost “starter-kit” which will be distributed in the first week of March.
