Hybrid: Fostering Industry-University Partnerships Workshop
McGill Engine is pleased to announce that the workshop entitled Fostering Industry-University Partnerships will be offered this Fall!
The workshop aims at encouraging academia-industry collaboration between university and industry, in addition to providing the latest updates on the main funding programs with the possibility of leveraging funds up to 80% (4:1 ratio) in cumulative funding.

The McISCE Interconnect Conference is on October 2! This year’s theme is Community Led Electrification.
Electrification can reduce emissions, but doing so fairly poses challenges. Community-led projects empower local communities to plan and manage their own electrification.
Our panel will explore the opportunities and challenges of electrification, drawing on research and practical experience.

This workshop will provide an overview of the different types of market research, how to analyze the competition, and the resources available at McGill to perform market research. Our market research librarian Emily Jaeger-McEnroe will walk us through some of those resources using a market research canvas tool.

This workshop will demystify and explain the various form of intellectual property (IP), namely, patents, industrial designs, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. We will then do some actual patent searching with our librarian April Colosimo using the DERWENT worldwide patent database.
