Québec Perspective Scholarship Program

The Government of Québec program, “Programme de bourses Perspective Québec” encourages students to pursue postsecondary study in fields deemed a priority to the province’s workforce planning. The priority fields include health and social services, engineering, information technology, and education. Starting in the Fall 2022 term, Québec students enrolled in eligible programs may apply for this award opportunity regardless of whether they are starting, mid-way through, or completing their program.

Program Eligibility

Eligible programs are posted online on the Government of Québec’s Bourse Perspective website. Click “See the list of eligible programs” to view McGill-specific eligible programs.

Value: $2,500 per term, up to a total of $15,000 for a three-year program and $20,000 for a four -year program. These amounts will be awarded to students after each successful full-time term. The Fall 2022 term will be paid out in the subsequent term (i.e. Winter 2023). The scholarship will not be awarded retroactively for past studies.

Student eligibility criteria:

  • Quebec resident according to the Regulation respecting the definition of resident of Quebec.
  • Have a permanent code.
  • Studying full-time (or deemed full-time with at least 6 credits for students with a documented disability, certain family situations such as young dependent child, etc. to be defined by the Government of Québec).
  • Government of Québec stipulated minimum number of credits completed in an eligible program.
