Optimizing Research Funding Infosession for the Faculty of Science

James Administration Building Room 301, 845 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

Participants from all Faculties welcome.

The Office of Sponsored Research is pleased to invite McGill researchers and administrators to an information session on optimizing research funding aimed at researchers in the Faculty of Science.

Many federal and provincial agencies offer research funding that requires industry cash contributions; by leveraging multiple different funding sources, you can maximize the amount of money available to support your research. In this infosession, we will discuss:

  • How can collaborating within McGill leverage existing expertise and make your project more competitive?

  • How do I identify and initiate contact with potential industrial partners?

  • What federal and provincial programs are available for leveraging industrial cash contributions (e.g. NSERC Engage, Mitacs, CRD and provincial consortia)?

  • What are the challenges in multi-partner collaborations?

You are invited to RSVP here by Wednesday, April 24th, 2018

stephane.dupont [at] mcgill.ca (Stephane Dupont) (Senior Grants & Agreements Officer), agnes.wong2 [at] mcgill.ca (Agnes Wong )(Grants & Agreements Officer) and researchers from McGill’s who have successful industrial collaborations (including large-scale projects supported by 3 or more sources of funding) will share their experiences and answer questions about how to maximize funding for research partnerships and collaborate successfully with industry.
