Applications

Quick ¹H, ¹⁹F, ³¹P, 2D

Console and magnet

Varian Mercury (two-channel, VT, z gradient, installed 1999) with unshielded Oxford magnet (1999).

Probes

• AutoNUC (most commonly used): simultaneously tuned to ¹H, ¹⁹F, and ³¹P, with z gradient (good for 2D).
• Inverse: ¹H and either ³¹P (usual) or ¹³C (rare), with z gradient (good for 2D, but mediocre for ³¹P direct detection and poor for ¹³C direct detection)
• SW: ¹H (usual) or ¹⁹F (rare), and ¹³C or ³¹P. No z gradient, but good for ¹³C detection.

Notes

This instrument does not require signup, but if someone is waiting, limit yourself to two samples.

The instrument can do high temperature work up to 120 ºC.  Ask for training.

It can also do ¹³C work with ¹⁹F decoupling.  Ask for more information.
