Provide stable, high-performing, and cutting-edge software solutions that support the operations and growth of McGill’s mission. We implement, run, maintain, and evolve software throughout its full lifecycle, focusing on simplicity, robustness, automation, and innovation to give McGill a competitive edge within higher education.
Enterprise Application is composed of the following teams to supporting McGill’s administrative/support units:
- Administrative systems (managed by Kostya Dykukha): manages and evolves systems which are servicing non-academic units such as Finance, Procurement, HR, UA, FMAS (including campus security), Budget as well as other systems used across the University.
- AI and automation (managed by Darlene Inamahoro): AI and Automation promotes the adoption and development of AI-powered solutions across the organization to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enable intelligent automation across business processes.
- Create and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to leverage AI agents and related technologies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to IT Services through strategic direction and hands-on development.
- Develop AI-based applications, by enhancing existing systems or building new ones.
- Support business units to design and implement automated workflows.
- Banner 9 project (managed by Daniel Letendre): leads the Banner 9 initiative while being accountable for budget and timeline.
- Data Science and Data Management (managed by Patricia Vega): builds and maintains the data infrastructure supporting the University's mission and support IT teams in data-driven decision-making, ensuring robust, scalable data systems across the University.
- Design and maintain data schemas, databases, and pipelines to ensure reliable data flow across the institution.
- Manage team workload and deliverables to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Develop reusable data pipelines for university-wide applications.
- Create and maintain data models to support Business Intelligence (BI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and traditional reporting needs.
- Manage reports for various university units.
- Faculty, Research and Academic (managed by Matias Milstein): manages and evolves systems supporting the academic and research mission of the University; including systems and applications required for teaching and learning.
- Integration Development & QA (managed by Viktoriya Tatianchenko): ensures secure and efficient integration across enterprise systems—on-campus and in the cloud—to provide interoperability, quality assurance, and support the University's digital infrastructure.
- Maintain, develop, and secure integrations ensuring seamless communication between applications.
- Collaborate with solution architects to analyze and build integrations that support the full application ecosystem at McGill.
- Create and execute test plans to validate the functionality of enterprise applications.
- Deliver fully tested systems following comprehensive testing.
- Manage team workload and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Student Systems (managed by Venu Katikaneni): manages and evolves Banner and all other systems which directly support the students’ academic journey as well as other aspects of their lives at McGill.
Account Manager for Academic, Research, Admin and Finance
The account managers are the primary contact for their respective stakeholders. They provide regular updates on the progress of IT initiatives, engage in proactive discussions concerning stakeholders’ business vision, requirements, and priorities, and inform stakeholders about upcoming IT trends. Account managers also help streamline the fulfillment of clients’ IT needs by engaging the right IT team at the right time.
