Message from the CIO, Marc Denoncourt
When the winter term started in January 2020, it was difficult to imagine the unprecedented challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic would impose on all of us. However, from these challenges arose resiliency and the swift adoption of new skills and ways of working. In fact, this disruption led us through the early stages of a digital transformation in just a few months versus a few years.
In March 2020, learning and operations of almost 50,000 McGill students, staff, and faculty were forced to go remote. Immediately, McGill IT Services (ITS) worked with key stakeholders across the University to provide the necessary tools and support to pursue virtual work and study. Read more.
