Funding Expectations

Funding levels vary by program and faculty. Although most PhD students have a funding package, there are no University-wide minimums. Funding packages include amounts meant to cover tuition and stipend, and in some cases, employment. Stipend, by definition, is an amount paid to a student for the purpose of allowing them to further their own research or other program/academic requirements.
