Faculty of Engineering launches fellowship program in support of Indigenous and Black students

The Faculty of Engineering is pleased to announce the launching of the Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology Momentum (IBET) Fellowship.

Initiated in collaboration with other Canadian universities, the IBET Fellowship aims to increase opportunities for students who identify as Indigenous or Black within the engineering profession and help build an equitable environment, reconciling the under-representation of these scholars at McGill University.

The prestigious Fellowship will provide financial support of $25,000 per year for 4 years for McGill University recipients, allowing recipients to pursue advanced degrees and undertake both traditional and/or non-traditional areas of research without incurring financial hardship.
