If you have already taken a course at the School, you may register for credit courses online using Minerva. If you are having difficulties registering, please contact Client Services at 514-398-6200 or email us at info.conted [at] mcgill.ca for assistance

In-person registration is normally required for certain students of the School of Continuing Studies. However, since the Quebec government ordered the closure of all universities on March 13 to prevent the spread of Covid-19, in-person registration for students of the School of Continuing Studies at our Client Services office is not possible at this time. However, remote registration is possible.

 

As such, if you are planning to register for the Fall 2021 term and you are a new, first-time registrant, please follow the steps below to register for your course:  

 

 

How to Register 

 

  1. Download and complete the Registration Form (in PDF fillable or PDF printable version).
    (IMPORTANT: If you are completing the PDF fillable forms – do not forget to put your electronic signature at the bottom of the form, as your official signature for the purpose of your course registration.)

  2. Download and complete the Permanent Data Code Form (in PDF fillable or PDF printable version).
    (IMPORTANT: If you are completing the PDF fillable forms – do not forget to put your electronic signature at the bottom of the form, as your official signature for the purpose of your course registration.)

  3. Based on your legal status, gather the legal documents as described below.  

  4. Send all documents to us:

        • by email to clientservices-15143982650 [at] mcgill.ca (unique address created for this purpose)

        • OR by fax to 514-398-2650 

  5. Please use “Registration Forms” as the subject of your message and ensure that you attach all documents in a single email. 

Legal Status Information

 

 

If you are a CANADIAN CITIZEN, please provide the following documents:

  • Canadian Birth certificate, if born in Canada OR;
  • Canadian Citizenship card - (both sides) OR;
  • Valid Canadian Passport AND;
  • Document indicating your Permanent Code (Quebec High school or CEGEP transcript).

 

* If you were born in Quebec, please provide your government issued Quebec birth certificate bearing the mention “Certified” or “Certifié conforme”. 

 

If you are a PERMANENT RESIDENT of Canada, please provide:   

  • Permanent Resident card (both sides) AND 
  • IMM 1000 / 5292 (record of landing). 

 

* If you were issued a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), please provide this document as well. 

 

If you are an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT, please provide:

For students wishing to study for more than six (6) months:

  • Valid Passport with Study Permit AND Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ);
     

For students wishing to study for 6 months or less:

  • Valid Passport with Visitor’s Permit or valid entry stamp OR;
  • Valid Passport with Work Permit.

 

* All visas must be valid until the last day of the admitted semester.

Regarding Quebec Resident Fees

There are various ways to prove your eligibility for Quebec resident fees. The most updated information can be found on our Fees and Tuition page.
 

For example:

 

  • Birth certificate for Canadians born in Quebec OR;

  • Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) OR;

  • In some cases, the Quebec health insurance card.
