What was your inspiration for pursuing Engineering?

I decided at a young age to study Engineering, not because of any romantic reason, but because I didn't like biology and didn't like languages. Engineering was my “only” option, without really knowing what it is. Now, 5 years later, I am relieved to say that I made the right choice. I love learning about how things work and using that knowledge to make the changes I want to see in the world.

Why is it important for women to be involved in Engineering?

Engineers have important roles in shaping the physical and social landscape around us. When this landscape is made up of people of different genders, it only makes sense to have a proportional representation of that diversity in the people who shape that landscape. The fact that this isn't the reality is absolutely absurd.

Why did you choose McGill?

At the end of high school, I was ready for something new, exciting and challenging. Moving half way across the country for school seemed to be fitting.
