Your attention is drawn to Faculty Regulations 45–47, which can see read in the Faculty's Handbook of Academic Regulations, Resolutions and Policies.
Note that there cannot be a deferred or supplemental evaluation of an already deferred examination.
BCL/JD Students wishing to apply for a deferred exam must submit their request via the Minerva Deferred Exam module. (Minerva->Student Menu->Deferred Exam Application)
The web form is now open. Requests must be made as soon as possible and prior to deadlines or examinations.
Graduate (LLM) Students must inform the sao.law [at] mcgill.ca (SAO by email), prior to or within twenty-four (24) hours of the examination, of the reasons for requesting permission to write a deferred examination. You should be aware that requests to defer an exam will only be approved for compelling reasons, verified and accepted by the Student Affairs office. You must provide supporting evidence such as an appropriate medical report, and you must inform the sao.law [at] mcgill.ca (email the SAO) as soon as possible to explain why you missed the examination.
For more information consult Exams | Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies - McGill University
For requests due to medical reasons, a deferral is granted only if the nature of the illness is serious enough to justify absence from the examination. The date of the missed exam and the nature of the illness must be clearly indicated on the medical certificate. Medical certificates stating “medical reasons” and illegible documents will not be accepted. (Must demonstrate significant impact on the student’s performance).
I am requesting the following deferral(s) for a final examination(s).
