From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Michelle Elizov

MICHELLE ELIZOV, MD, MHPE, FRCPC, is the Associate Dean for Faculty Development. She is a General Internist, an Associate Professor of Medicine, an Associate Member of the Institute of Health Sciences Education and the Vice-Chair of the Royal College GIM Specialty Committee. She obtained her Master’s degree in Health Professions Education and has been active in teaching at all levels. Her previous leadership positions include: Assistant Dean of Faculty Development; Site Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at the Jewish General Hospital site; Director of University and Medical Education, CIUSSS Centre Ouest; and Director of the Medical and Health Sciences Education Electives Program through the Institute of Health Sciences Education.

In 2011, Dr. Elizov was named to the Faculty of Medicine’s Honour List for Educational Excellence.

Current research interests: Mentorship and its importance in the development of physicians at all levels; teaching, learning and evaluation in the clinical setting; and faculty development.
