Mackenzie King Open & Travelling Scholarships

Award Overview

The Mackenzie King Open Scholarship is open to graduates of any Canadian university who engage in graduate study in any field, in Canada or elsewhere. One open Scholarship is awarded annually. Its value has lately been $8,500 but is subject to change.

The Mackenzie King Travelling Scholarship is open to graduates of any Canadian university who engage in (commence or continue) graduate study (master’s or doctoral), in the United States or the United Kingdom, of international relations or industrial relations (including the international or industrial relations aspects of law, history, politics and economics). Four Travelling Scholarships of $10,500 have lately been awarded annually, but the number and value of scholarships are subject to change.

Eligibility

  • Students who are currently or previously registered at McGill University, apply through McGill for the Mackenzie King Open & Travelling Scholarships. McGill may nominate one applicant for the national competition.
  • All applicants of the Mackenzie King Open and Travelling Scholarships, who are eligible, will also be considered for the Philip F. Vineberg Travelling Fellowship.

Delta Upsilon Memorial Scholarship

Award Overview

Founded by the McGill Chapter of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity in memory of its members who gave their lives in the Boer War, the Great War of 1914-1918, and the Second World War of 1939-1945.

How to apply

Students who completed an undergraduate degree at McGill and apply for the Mackenzie King Open Scholarship are considered for the Delta Upsilon scholarship.

Eligibility

This award is open to students who have received an undergraduate degree from McGill university in any faculty and is tenable for graduate study at any recognized university. The necessary CGPA is 3.7 or higher - 3.5 for Law.


John Williamson Frederick Peacock Memorial Scholarship

Award Overview

Established in memory of Flight Lieutenant John Williamson Frederick Peacock, a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, who was killed in action over Normandy in 1944.
