Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

The purpose of the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships is to build world-class research capacity by recruiting top-tier Canadian and international postdoctoral researchers at an internationally competitive level of funding. Mackenzie King Open & Travelling Scholarships

Overview

The Mackenzie King Open Scholarship is open to graduates of any Canadian university who engage in graduate study in any field, in Canada or elsewhere. One open Scholarship is awarded annually. Its value has lately been $8,500 but is subject to change.

Postdoctoral fellows

In Quebec, 'Postdoctoral' is a full-time student status and trainee category, and the Ministère de l'Education,  Enseignement supérieur et Recherche (MESRS) stipulates that all postdoctoral fellows must be registered on a university student registration system.
