Hazardous Waste Management & Disposal Training for Laboratory Personnel
Online session for students, staff and faculty: McGill staff and faculty must register online using the Environmental Health and Safety registration system.

Content: Proper hazardous waste training is a requirement for all personnel working with hazardous materials at McGill. This session is intended to raise awareness on proper disposal of materials in a safe, efficient and environmentally-friendly manner. The training session introduces participants to four key elements: hazardous waste disposal (chemicals, biohazard, radioactive, and sharps waste), hazardous emergency response, decommissioning of space and the recycling of metals and obsolete equipment.
Certification: This training is mandatory for all laboratory users who handle hazardous materials. In order to get your certificate, you need a minimum of 80% on your examination.
