Dr. Alejandro Gutiérrez López is an Assistant Professor at the McGill School of Continuing Studies, where he teaches courses in complex systems, data science, and project management. He also serves as the Academic Program Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Data Analysis for Complex Systems.
Dr. Gutiérrez has over twenty years of experience managing Information Technology projects across Mexico, Sweden, Iceland, and Canada. His areas of expertise include business analytics, data science, project management, and simulation modelling.
He holds a Ph.D. in Project Management from the University of the Basque Country in Spain, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Lund University in Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Monterrey in Mexico.
Dr. Gutiérrez holds several professional certifications and designations, including Certified Analytics Professional (INFORMS CAP-Essentials and CAP-Pro), Project Management Professional (PMI PMP), Certified Microsoft Excel Expert, Certification in Business Data Analytics (IIBA CBDA), and Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis (IIBA CPOA).
