Extended Study Hours at Nahum Gelber Law Library, Islamic Studies Library, and Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre
As of October 11th, extended study hours will be implemented at the Nahum Gelber Law Library, Islamic Studies Library, and Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre.
On Monday, October 10th (Thanksgiving Day), 24 hour study access will be available at the Humanities and Social Sciences Library and the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering. All other library branches will be physically closed. Services (loans, reserves, consultations) at all branches will also be closed on Monday, October 10th.
The Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre will be implementing a new after-hours access policy for students, faculty and staff.
The city is in the process of carrying out work on the water system. As a result, there is a risk that the water quality will be effected. Please do not drink the water until further notice.
Due to maintenance, eScholarship@McGill, e-Exams, and eTheses and digitized rare books accessed via the library catalogue will be unavailable from 11pm Thursday June 3rd to 5am Friday June 4
McGill Library is pleased to announce the official launch of a new mobile library website as of June 1. Access library services any place, any time on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and most smart phones. Features on the mobile site include: Catalogue search, Course Reserves, Ask us, Library hours, Library finder on Google Maps, Library News, and FAQs.
The COLOMBO Interlibrary Loan system will be un available for McGill clients or library staff from Friday May 21 to Monday May 24 inclusive, while an upgrade to version 4.1 is in progress. Access to COLOMBO will resume on Tuesday May 25 in the morning.
The new group study room in the Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre, room 512 in Burnside Hall, can seat 15 people and can be booked online through the Library Catalogue.
The Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre is open for business. While the library is undergoing a complete refurbishment, access to the collection will be available during reduced hours from August 31 to September 4. Full access will resume on September 8.
The Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre is closed to public access from August 12 - August 28 while the Library is being completely refurbished. If material from the collection is required for teaching or research between now and August 28, library staff will retrieve the items for pickup at the Schulich Library borrowing desk.
