Light retro fit motion sensors are currently being installed on the main floor of the McLennan Library Building in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library. All other floors of the McLennan Library Building have been completed. Once work has been completed on the main floor of McLennan, the light retro fit motion sensors will be installed in the Redpath Library Building.

There will be an electrical shutdown in the McLennan Library Building Main Floor on Sunday May 12,2013 from 6am to 8pm, in order to complete a panel upgrade to the electrical framework. The shutdown will involve the area behind the elevators in the McLennan Lobby only. Access to computers will be available in the Cyberthèque. Self-check machines and catalogues will be accessible throughout the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex. Faculty of Management library materials now available 24x7 in Bronfman with new Management Reserves LibDispenser
The McGill Library is pleased to announce the installation of the Management Reserves LibDispenser. Located in Room RM-23 in the Redpath Library Building directly across from the Redpath main entrance and adjacent to the Redpath Loans Desk, this e-classroom is now open to students when not booked for instructional purposes.

On Monday, October 10th (Thanksgiving Day), 24 hour study access will be available at the Humanities and Social Sciences Library and the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering. All other library branches will be physically closed. Services (loans, reserves, consultations) at all branches will also be closed on Monday, October 10th.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 1:00pm-7:00pm, the Group Study Zone (including group study rooms 22A, 22B and 22C) located on the main floor of the Redpath Library Building will be closed for the McGill Living Library event.
Relocation of Management Collection to Humanities & Social Sciences Library results in increase in study and teaching spaces at Business Information Centre
As part of the University's overall plan to improve student services, the McGill Library is realigning both the Management Library staff and collections to provide better service and access to information for all McGill students and faculty. As a result Management Collection will be relocated to the 4th floor of the Humanities and Social Studies Library.
