INESSS (Quebec's National Institute for Excellence in Health and Social Science has released two reports with recommendations regarding access to psychotherapy. Dr. Martin Drapeau, of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, co-authored these reports, and is the principal collaborator on this project.

McGill's Faculty of Education has received funding to create a dedicated laboratory space that will serve as a hub for multiliteracies practices in the Education building.

It’s also an easy way to stay connected with news and happenings around the entire University, and to share and exchange information with us and your peers.
On May 29th, close to 450 Faculty of Education students walked across the stage to receive their degree at the convocation ceremony held on McGill’s main campus. The Hon. Michael A. Meighen, Chancellor of McGill, opened the ceremonial proceedings with the colourful customary procession led by piper Jeff McCarthy. The convocation tent was filled to capacity with proud family members cheering on the graduates as they were ‘capped’ by Principal, Suzanne Fortier, before receiving their academic degree.
As part of the Faculty of Education's 2015 Spring Convocation ceremony, L. Jacques Ménard, lifelong advocate of the importance of education for all, was selected to receive an honorary degree. "We are honouring... individuals with a diverse range of backgrounds, expertise and experience who are united by their exceptional contributions to improving the lives of so many," said Principal Suzanne Fortier. "I am delighted that mcGill is recognizing their vision, achievements and leadership by awarding them the University's highest honour."
The Faculty of Education is pleased to announce that two Artists-in-Residence have been appointed via the P. Lantz initiative for Excellence in Education and the Arts. As part of this five-year endowment, Maria Ezcurra will begin her appointment in May, and Jimmy Baptiste will start in September. The two are poised to support and mentor students and faculty members in their understanding of the languages of art, and the ways in which art can be integral to building knowledge across disciplines.

The QS World University Rankings, regarded as “one of the three most influential and widely observed university measures,” recently published their 2015 international rankings. McGill’s Faculty of Education shows a stunning improvement since last year’s publication, jumping up thirteen spots.
