Eligibility
The student must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate program at McGill University at the master’s or doctoral level within the award Tenure for the competition year
- Have achieved a first-class average, as determined by McGill University, in each of the last two completed years of study (full-time equivalent)
- Have two supervisors from different disciplines to provide guidance through their research
Application Process
- Students submit the Intent to Apply form to help inform the review process.
- Students submit their application form.
Selection Process & Criteria
The Selection Committee will review all applications and select the winning research projects based on the following criteria:
- The applicant demonstrates how becoming a BMO Responsible AI Senior Scholar will enhance their own research, and how they can responsibly influence the impact of AI on society
- The applicant demonstrates the interdisciplinary nature of their research
- The applicant has a minimum of two supervisors from different Faculties or Departments, and demonstrates how they will guide them throughout their research
- The applicant demonstrates academic excellence through past academic results, transcripts, awards and distinctions
