Virtual Job Shadow: Career Spotlights - March 2021

Are you interested in exploring an industry or learn about career opportunities in different sectors? Would you like to connect with McGill alumni?  If you have answered “yes” then this program is for you.

Job shadowing is an excellent way to learn about a professional's day-to-day responsibilities and decide whether their career appeals to you. It can also provide valuable opportunities to build network with professionals in your chosen field, explore new career options and evaluate career fit.

This year, the job shadow program will take place VIRTUALLY throughout the month of March. Students will have a chance to gain more understanding about the work environment and the daily activities of the position and industry their host works in.  Students will also become familiar with the realities of a workplace, expand their networks, and learn information that can help them advance in their careers.

Virtual format:  This year our online event will feature roundtable discussions that connect Alumni with students who are interested in learning about a specific industry or role. During this open discussion, you will have the opportunity to ask the Alumni questions in small groups. Come prepared with your questions!
