Course design
Our course design offerings are available in three formats to suit different schedules and approaches to planning.
Learning communities
Take part in interdisciplinary exchanges with colleagues from across McGill. Build community knowledge, engage in thoughtful discussion, and share classroom experiences.
Workshops
We regularly offer workshops for McGill instructors and units, on a variety of topics relevant to McGill’s diverse teaching and learning landscape.
Workshops are available either scheduled or on request.
Beyond Grading
Each Fall we hold our annual symposium and strategy series on teaching and learning at McGill, providing a space for instructors to discuss their pedagogical strategies with each other.
Teaching and Learning with Generative AI
A week of hands-on sessions, thoughtful conversations, and community-building — all focused on the role of AI in higher education.
Teaching Assistant Training
Offered in September and January
We offer pedagogical training to equip teaching assistants (TAs) with skills and strategies to effectively support student learning at McGill.
