Take part in interdisciplinary exchanges with colleagues from across McGill. Build community knowledge, engage in thoughtful discussion, and share classroom experiences.

What is a learning community?

A learning community is dedicated to sharing and developing knowledge, and engaging in interdisciplinary, collaborative learning around a central topic or challenge. Some established models include Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) (Cox & McDonald, 2017).

Some learning communities are offered as a limited-time cohort, while others are offered on a rolling basis. Membership (open registration or by invitation) and frequency of meetings varies – see details below. Meetings are facilitated by TAP staff, partners, and/or McGill faculty members.
