What are online programs?
Online programs have been designed to be delivered and completed entirely through digital platforms, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for students. Presence on campus is not required.
A range of degree programs, at both the undergraduate and graduate level are offered across McGill’s Faculties and Schools.

Are all online courses offered asynchronously?
Courses part of online programs course may be conducted either fully asynchronously or in combination with online synchronous components. Each program is unique, and we design and develop all activities in line with our design framework and current trends in online learning to meet the learning outcomes of the program.

Do all online programs have an in-person version?
McGill offers several uniquely online programs. Many programs are offered both online and in-person, though program length may differ.

Can I get support to develop an online course (not part of an online program)?
Currently, our team only works on complete online programs, not stand-alone courses. If you’d like help including interactive online elements in your course through learning technologies, you can reach out to our learning technologies team.
