How is the REPAIR group supporting the imperative for reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples?
The Occupational Therapy (OT) Program at McGill University is committed to responding to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in the same ethical spirit of its final report, and in accordance with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science’s statement on Social Accountability.
Since 2017, the OT curriculum committee has partnered with McGill Indigenous educators and advisors in the Indigenous Health Professions Program, First People’s House, and Equity Team, for a participatory and respectful approach to outreach, recruitment, admissions, student support and faculty capacity building.
