Meryem Eddahbi Idrissi

Having just completed her first year of the DEC in Health Sciences at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, Meryem Eddahbi Idrissi has developed a great interest for the sciences. She is passionate about bio-chemistry, medical research, and finds human behaviour interesting.

During the summer of 2013, Meryem will have the opportunity to be a part of Dr. King’s research team at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and to work primarily on the Iowa Flood Study and the Queensland Flood Study (QF2011) under the supervision of Dr. Suzanne King, Dr. David P. Laplante and Dr. Cao.

This internship will allow her to widen her knowledge, by exposing her to a new side of health sciences, which she hopes will help her make a better decision about her university orientation.

Being very open to the outside world, Meryem is captivated by everything that surrounds her. She spends her free time convincing people to give blood at the Héma-Québec call center. Passionate about arts and sports, she enjoys playing badminton, basketball, swimming, and drawing. In addition, she also likes to travel and hopes to travel around the world, to share her knowledge about health with the people she meets.
