Alejandra Martinez is currently pursuing her first year studies in Health Sciences at the Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. She began her high school education in Quebec City at the Collège Jésus-Marie de Sillery. Since very early in her life, she has loved science and hopes to work in the area. Her favorite areas of study are mathematics and physics, but she also loves biology.
During the summer of 2015, Alejandra will have the chance to contribute to three projects: Project Ice Storm, the Iowa Flood Study and the Queensland Flood Study under the supervision of Drs. David Laplante and Lei Cao, and Suzanne King, as well as other lab members.
This young student is a curious person and enjoys learning. She loves sports - she is on the cross-country team - and arts - she has been playing the violin since she was seven years old. She is an active member of her community; she is a volunteer at St-Justine Hospital.
