After a primary and secondary course at Collège Beaubois, François-Pierre Marcoux began his college studies in health sciences Eurêk@ at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf.
Particularly attracted by biology, human contact, research and teaching, it is towards medicine that François-Pierre intends to channel his ambition in the years to come.
Accumulating scientific conferences, mathematics, chemistry and biology contests and volunteering at the Gingras-Lindsay-de-Montréal Rehabilitation Institute, François-Pierre is pleased to take the opportunity to broaden his knowledge .
Curious and eager to learn, it was with great honor that he was offered a scientific internship at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute under the supervision of Dr. Suzanne King, Dr. David P. Laplante, and Dr. Sherri Lee Jones.
Through this unique experience, François-Pierre will have the chance to tackle the effects of prenatal maternal stress on the development of young adults and he will also have the opportunity to learn how to segment magnetic resonance images.
In addition to his passion for science, he spends his free time practicing martial arts. At the same time student and instructor, he hopes to add a 3rd Dan to his black belt in 2018. In addition, music and the arts will always hold a precious place in his heart.
