The Pediatric Residency Training Program has two primary admissions streams:
Selection for interviews is based on the combined evaluation of a candidate's CV, academic performance, CASPer results, personal statement, and reference letters. Selection interviews consist of three 30-minute individual interviews with members of the Selection Committee, as well as a presentation of the program and a hospital tour. As per the recommendations for the AFMC, all interverviews for the 2021-2022 cohort will be conducted virtually. Please note, fluency in English and French are required in our program and will be assessed during the interviews.
We understand that candidates do not have equal opportunities to take electives. While we encourage candidates to do an elective in Pediatrics, this is not a selection requirement for interviews. We do not require applicants to have done onsite electives. For more information on application requirements and timelines, please consult CaRMS.
