Course Selection and Registration

To be completed by the Course change "Add/Drop" deadline approximately 2 weeks after the start of term. (for Winter please refer to the Important Dates webpage for more information:

Note: You must register for at least one course by the 2nd week of August to avoid late registration fees.

Select your courses using Minerva (you will have to sign in with your McGill ID). You can also view course descriptions on the Programs, Courses and University Regulations website.

Please note that B.Ed Student Teaching practiucm courses (EDFE subject code) are not open to students on Exchange.

McGill's University-wide Orientation will begin with Discover McGill Day. Some of the events require registration therefore please remember to consult the UNIVERSITY ORIENTATION website for full details.  

Exchange students should also make an appointment to see a Faculty Adviser in Internships & Student Affairs to discuss course choice and to start the process of receiving permission to take certain restricted courses. Come to counter 243 on the 2nd floor of the Education building or email [at] (subject: Incoming%20Exchange%20student)

Faculty Advising Available throughout the year. Staff in Internships & Student Affairs are available to answer questions you may have while you are at McGill.
