From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

McGill's 22nd Annual Pow Wow

Join the First Peoples’ House on Lower West Field (845 Sherbrooke Street West) on Friday, September 22 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm for the 22nd Annual McGill Pow Wow.

This is a free public event featuring vendors, dancing, drumming, singing, and more. No registration is required to attend. The event schedule is as follows:

  • 11:00 am:  Opening Words
  • 11:30 am:  Grand Entry
  • 12:00 pm:  Inter-tribals and categories exhibition
  • 1:30 pm:  Smoke dance exhibition
  • 1:50 pm:  Inuit throat singing
  • 2:10 pm:  Metis Jiggers (Prairie Fire)
  • 2:30 pm:  Hoop dance demonstration
  • 2:45-3:45 pm:  Inter-tribals
  • 4:00 pm:  Closing/Retiring of the flags and giveaway
