The University requested an extension from the CNESST to complete the 2025 pay equity maintenance due to ongoing proceedings related to the 2010 and 2015 pay equity maintenances. The University requested that the 2020 and 2025 maintenances be completed after final decisions had been rendered regarding these earlier exercises.
On December 12, 2025, the CNESST denied the University’s request for an extension. The University is therefore proceeding with the 2020 and 2025 pay equity maintenances in accordance with CNESST requirements.
As each pay equity maintenance builds on the results of the preceding exercise, the University must first complete the 2020 Pay Equity Audit before proceeding with the 2025 maintenance. Further information and updates regarding the 2025 pay equity maintenance will be posted here .
