Three exceptional scholars at McGill University were awarded the 2026 President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers at convocation ceremonies held on May 28, May 29 and June 1. The annual prize recognizes early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves by their exceptional contributions to research. Faculty of Education's Prof. Rachel Langevin, was among the three winners.

The Faculty's second valedictorian from the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, Ryan, who has earned his B.Sc. Four FRQSC New Academics Grants Awarded in the Faculty of Education

On March 20, 2026, it was announced that Professor Marie-Hélène Pennestri will be appointed as McGill's new Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and Associate Provost (Graduate Education). The McGill University Board of Governors approved both appointments at its meeting on March 19, 2026 and her five-year term will begin on July 1, 2026.
