New CRC, Rachel Langevin, Receives President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers

Three exceptional scholars at McGill University were awarded the 2026 President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers at convocation ceremonies held on May 28, May 29 and June 1. The annual prize recognizes early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves by their exceptional contributions to research. Faculty of Education's Prof. Rachel Langevin, was among the three winners.

Valedictorian Ryan Dvorak Featured in McGill Reporter

Meet Ryan Dvorak, Faculty of Education's valedictorian for this year's convocation. The Faculty's second valedictorian from the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, Ryan, who has earned his B.Sc. (Honours), will have a personal story to share with us and some words of wisdom the entire audience will be able to learn from. In an interview with the McGill Reporter, Ryan said support from family, professors and peers shaped both his academic and personal growth.

New Appointment for ECP's Prof. Marie-Hélène Pennestri

On March 20, 2026, it was announced that Professor Marie-Hélène Pennestri will be appointed as McGill's new Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and Associate Provost (Graduate Education). The McGill University Board of Governors approved both appointments at its meeting on March 19, 2026 and her five-year term will begin on July 1, 2026.
