McGill’s Professional Development Certificates: Everything You Need to Know

Looking for a way to gain valuable new skills, switch into a new career path or advance your current career, all without leaving your job? McGill’s Professional Development Certificates  were designed to help you do just that! 

With 11 topics to choose from, like Data Science and Machine Learning, Project Management, Business Analysis and Data Analytics for Business, our Professional Development Certificates are practical programs designed to help you acquire in-demand skills in a specific area of study in a short period of time. Courses are focused on applied exercises, projects and discussions to fuel experiential and peer-to-peer learning and offered from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET and on some Saturdays to fit the schedule of busy professionals. 

During this free information session, we will give you an introduction to the School, the programs offered and tell you how you can get started as early as this January. We’ll also cover topics such as: 

• Who are our students? How to know if SCS is right for you 
• How to choose the right program for you 
• Topics and programs available 
• Delivery formats: remote vs. online, and what happens if we return to in-person classes 
• 11 key benefits of being an SCS student, including health insurance and access to services offered by our Career Advising and Transition team.

• How to start this January! 
• How to apply for the fall 2021 semester 

We’ll also have time for questions and answers and provide resources should you need academic advising or wish to meet with a career advisor.
