On December 2016, Prof. Ashok Kakkar was promoted full professor.
Drug delivery nanotechnology, commonly referred to as nanomedicine, has offered significant potential in understanding and hopefully managing high morbidity rate diseases such as cancer and atherosclerosis. The Kakkar group uses chemical innovation to design well-defined nanocarriers (macromolecules and metal nanoparticles) which incorporate a balanced combination of functions, and perform pre-determined multiple tasks cooperatively and efficiently. Such constructs which can simultaneously and synergistically load, target, deliver and image, are becoming the cornerstone of developments in biomedical research.
Congratulations to Ashok on his promotion.
