David Urquhart has been appointed as full-time assistant coach of the McGill University men's hockey team. He replaces Dan Jacob, who stepped down a few weeks ago to take a similar post with Blainville-Boisbriand of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

In the classroom, McKiernan completed nine courses and achieved 27 credits over the school year, achieving a grade-point average of 3.65 (the equivalent of 91.3 per cent) as an accounting major in the Desautels faculty of management. He was recently awarded with the Uldis Auders Memorial Trophy, presented annually to the top sophomore student-athlete at McGill.
Canmore’s Austin Anderson is prepared for a higher calling. The 23-year-old kicker is expected to be chosen in the CFL draft following a stellar career with the McGill Redmen, Thursday (May 3). … Within the span of a month, Anderson will have finished his Business Management degree at McGill and earned a CFL invitation.

The Desautels Faculty of Management is pleased to announce that a $500,000 donation by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) will fund $50,000 a year in bursaries and fellowships for McGill students over the coming decade.
