Published: 15 December 2020

CAnD3 trainee Anthony Jehn was featured in a CBC article about his recent paper with CAnD3 team member Anna Zajacova analyzing Statistics Canada data to assess the demographic groups willing or unwilling to follow public health precautions to prevent COVID-19.

"In June, we were coming out of lockdown, and I thought it would be particularly interesting to start looking at whether or not people were complying with the most recommended measures that could be taken to prevent the spread of the virus," Anthony Jehn said.

Anthony is a fourth-year Sociology doctoral student at the University of Western Ontario. His dissertation research focuses on social determinants of adult health, particularly in how experiences in postsecondary education influence health and health behaviors.

The paper COVID-19 Health Precautions: Examining Demographic and Socioeconomic Disparities is currently under review for Canadian Public Policy
