Call for papers: Population Health and COVID-19

Published: 14 October 2020

Submission deadline: October 31, 2020

Globally, COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact on population health. Demographers are playing a crucial role in increasing our understanding of the factors contributing to the spread of COVID-19, and of morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. Yet population-based studies on the correlates and outcomes of the disease remain scarce.

In an effort to increase knowledge on this subject, a Special Issue on ‘Population Health and COVID-19’ in Canadian Studies in Population is being organized.

Specifically, for this Special Issue of Canadian Studies in Population, contributions on the following topics are invited:

  • The demography of COVID-19
  • COVID-19-related population health outcomes
  • Correlates and determinants of population health during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Demographic data collection during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Policy implications of COVID-19 research results

Submissions do not need to be Canada-specific. Submissions that focus on Canada, as well as other countries and regions, are welcomed.
