Registration

ACB students trying to register for courses in other departments:

• If you're having difficulty registering for a required course, you can contact the department offering the course for assistance (i.e. for BIOL 200, contact the Dept. of Biology; for PHGY 209, contact the Dept. of Physiology, etc.).
• Refer to the list of departmental contacts so that you're contacting the right person/unit.
• Please note that in most departments, registration permits are only given for required  courses, not for electives or complementary courses.

Non-ACB students trying to register in ANAT courses:

• If the course is required for your program, please email the undergradadvisor.acb [at] mcgill.ca (ACB program advisor) for assistance
• If the course is a complementary or elective and you're receiving a "Reserve Closed" error message, that means that all the spaces for students in other programs are currently full.  You'll need to keep checking Minerva regularly and throughout the Add/Drop period to see if space opens up. 

**We are not able to give registration permits for complementary or elective courses (this includes ANAT 321)**

• Open to BSc students in any program who meet the listed requirements.
• Supervisor must be affiliated with the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology (found on Faculty, Joint Professors, Adjunct Members or Associate Members lists in the Directory).  For questions about this and/or the possibility of making co-supervision arrangements, please contact undergradadvisor.acb [at] mcgill.ca (Penny).
• Once you and your supervisor have completed and signed the 396 Project Approval Form, submit this undergradadvisor.acb [at] mcgill.ca (by email) and CC your supervisor(s). Registration information will be sent after the project is approved.

• Required for students in the Anatomy & Cell Biology Honours program; open to other students by permission only.
• Supervisor must be affiliated with the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology (found on Faculty, Joint Professors, Adjunct Members or Associate Members lists in the Directory).
• Once you have found a supervisor and developed a project proposal, complete the ANAT 432 Application form (found below) and email it to the ANAT 432 Course Coordinator, huy.bui [at] mcgill.ca (Dr. Huy Bui), to request permission to register (CC your supervisor(s) and the undergradadvisor.acb [at] mcgill.ca (ACB program advisor) on this email).  Registration information will be sent after the project is approved.
• Application forms:
  •  ANAT 432 application form Fall 2024/Winter 2025
• Honours students planning to complete ANAT 432 during the Fall/Winter semesters of their U3 year are advised to start contacting potential supervisors during the Winter semester in their U2 year; students planning to complete ANAT 432 in the Summer semester prior to U3 should do this earlier, at the START of  their U2 Winter semester.
