SSP Opportunities for SIS Graduate Trainees
Overview
The Surgical Scientist Program (SSP) works in collaboration with McGill’s Surgical and Interventional Sciences (SIS) program to offer support and funding opportunities to SIS graduate trainees. The program is designed to assist those pursuing research towards a Master’s (thesis) or Doctoral degree, ensuring they have the necessary resources to advance their academic and professional goals.
SSP Opportunities for Graduate Students

SSP/SIS Graduate Scholarship Competition offers one-year stipend support for SIS Doctoral and Master’s (thesis) trainees.

SSP Travel Award to cover travel expenses for research presentations at academic conferences.

To be eligible for SSP support, graduate students must meet the following requirements:

Be enrolled in the SIS Doctoral (PhD) or Master’s (MSc thesis) degree program; OR |

Be within the following timeframes from your initial graduate program registration: MSc students: Two years |
